While looking for a new font I came across dafont.com and thought I’d share for those who are in a similar search. Free downloads and some good choices.

I’m sure it’s not a huge surprise that I politically lean a little more to the left than the right. That said, the latest site I hit every single day is The Blue State. Not always for the commentary, but the video clip selection is usually great.

As much as I usually don’t care for Rolling Stone articles, the current cover story was good. “Time to Go! Inside the Worst Congress Ever”.

Make your own disturbing LED Throwie Rat (or Mouse). As the site says, “Be warned, this is another extremely graphic tutorial featuring guts, dismemberment, and soldering”. Not safe for most.

“Teachers speak outâ€?? on Google’s Docs/Spreadsheets…They’re creepy testimonials about a product that supposedly just launched yesterday. I made a related comment on Scott’s Wednesday post regarding non-teacher testimonials.
Here is a sample teacher quote: “As a teacher of English and journalism, I sign all my students up for Google Docs & Spreadsheets accounts to help facilitate their work”. And yes, these teachers are real people (it’s not too difficult to find that out based on the info provided after the testimonial). Seeing as Google bought Writely (Google Docs) back in early March, it is conceivable that these teachers were part of a beta test (maybe the beta was named Google Docs -trying to understand why the testimonial stated Google Docs and not Writely- but I have another theory too).
