Mozilla breaks up Firefox

If you’re like me and enjoy your FireFox extensions a little too much and acquire too many after awhile, hopefully breaking up each tab into its own process (a la Google Chrome an supposedly IE 8, which i was unaware of) will make FireFox more stable and not have the whole browser crash due to one tab’s malfunction.

To keep the true-crime fanatic in me satiated, I’ve started a site that links to disturbing (in my opinion of course) news stories. Submissions are welcome as well if you’re interested in the seedier bits of news as well. Disturbing Humans is the place, and it’s not for everyone so be warned. All stories linked to are “newspaper friendly”, but it can still be a bit much.

The Simpsons Movie Premiere

The Bain Collection over at the Library of Congress is great. Mainly taken from the early 1900’s – 1920’s, these are photos that were taken for a news service and are pretty varied in subject.

NOTE: I’ve IP banned two posters. One was replying over and over using different names but with the same IP, the other was the user “bags”, who even after saying he was no longer going to visit my site insisted on posting the same stupid comment reworded again and again. I’m sure he’s lame enough to find another way to comment, but this at least let me clean up some of the mess. A special message to bags: this is a personal website and I can post whatever the fuck I want. If you don’t like my posts, don’t visit. I can also delete whatever comments I want. If you would like this awesome power then go start your own website. I’ve gone 7 years without your assistance, and I don’t need or want it now.

This is my last say on the subject as to whether or not the ridiculous “ad” below makes me money or not: it doesn’t. Not a penny. I don’t even know how to make money using such an ad, I don’t think that company even uses referrals. Any other comments about this ridiculous subject will be deleted. Let it die. Thanks.

Man Dies Battle Dancing

“Man, 48, Dies Battle Dancing”. I didn’t even know battle dancing was a real thing, it sounds like something out of a bad comedy where rivals have a dance off. Even though I didn’t realize it was a real thing, I still think 48 is a bit old to be doing it.

The Chaser

The Chaser (Australia’s version of The Onion) made the news twice last week with their TV show:

An Australian kid duped Youtube into removing Chaser clips and one of the Chaser hosts got close to Hillary Clinton.

Here’s one of their skits goofing on the words ‘Al-Qaeda’ and ‘terrorist’ and here is Hillary Clinton on the Chaser:

Ok, laughing when someone dies isn’t very nice, but this news story made me laugh. “Man painting love message on rock dies after fall”, “Friend who witnessed fall says victim complained girlfriend’s name was too long”. Those two lines together make the magic.
