Most people who have visited here for a while should know I likes me a good cover song. Well, absonderpop is a weblog that’s chock full of them. Hell, they just posted 19 different versions of Tom Petty’s “American Girl”. Ok, taking out the original and a live track you have 17, but that’s 17 more than I had. Go covers!
While going through my bookmarks in a vain attempt at spring cleaning I noticed that Copy, Right? is not only still around, it’s still great. If cover songs are your thing, check out the tunes. If they’re not, check it out anyways. Come on, everyone loves a bizarre cover of “Hollaback Girl”.

There are some good videos in this top 50 of 2006 list, although I had only heard 3 or so of the songs before now. They have The Horrors clip there so I’m happy.
