Next Phase of Personal Computers

Do you reminisce about old-school table-top arcade games? Dig the movie “Minority Report”’s Techie scenes? Have easy access to $5000 and $10,000? Microsoft’s new ’surface’ PC will satisfy your needs when it’s released this winter. Reminds me of NYU’s Jeff Han’s similar project. If you’re in NYC on June 9, go to the Sheraton NY Hotel and Towers for a public viewing of SURFACE. The Seattle PI has videos not shown on the MS site.

FTTW

Thanks to a stomach bug sidelining me (staring at a computer screen just didn’t sound like much fun at the time), I missed that Faster Than the World was celebrating their 1 year birthday. Congrats Michele and everyone else involved in making it run so well over the past year! If you haven’t checked it out, please do. Daily articles about this, that and the other thing.

AnimeSuki.com

I blogged AnimeSuki about 4 years ago, but as the site’s still going strong I’m plugging it again. Get unlicensed anime via bittorrent. There are a ton of series to choose from and most have many people seeding files so getting them quick usually isn’t an issue. If you like anime and haven’t checked it out before, be prepared to lose many hours.
