Ultimate Insult, Take II
November 12th marks the 6th anniversary of The Ultimate Insult. I’ve been a bit more lax in the posts and wasn’t even sure if I would continue the site, but I do like posting random crap, so here we are. This is probably the 5th or 6th time I’ve redesigned the site, but this is the first time all of my previous posts haven’t made the trip. My former webhost, Dreamhost, has been having some trouble actually keeping my sites online lately, and now I can’t even log in to my server there. After 3 days without any response whatsoever, I have moved on to a new host. This leaves all of my old posts over there, locked away until they either get back to me or the situation magically fixes itself. Personally, I’m not holding my breath. The only big change here aside from the fresh start is that I am going to attempt to use categories. This should make browsing the archives 5 years from now a bit easier. Ok, I’ve talked enough. On with take II.

November 4th, 2006This looks totally different. Will have to get used to it.
Tried logging on last night and came up with nothing.
All the best for the new site. Will try and find more stuff to pass on to you.

November 5th, 2006i have found more cool stuff (not crap) on this site than anywhere – anytime – no joke
reminds me of Geisha but with more techi & social oddities
is there a way to package up your monthly/yearly archives into a downloadable unit (.pdf?)
I’d hate to think of the loss a shutdown would bring – like a library burning
if i saw a sign @ the top of your page saing “due to…my archives will no longer be supported after april 2007. Please download and disrubute my .pdf’ed archived archives here”
sorry to bug you – your site was down and i was like ‘shit – that sucks’ – i almost never say that about a website

November 5th, 2006Bill, if I can get my archives at all I’ll throw them back online. I think I may have found a way to get my data out of there, we’ll know by tomorrow.
